About These Field Notes

Capability Systems Field Notes is an independent publication for systems engineers. It studies capability-oriented design, explicit authority, process boundaries, portable runtime contracts, and verification methods.

This publication is not the original CloudABI project and is not affiliated with its creator, maintainers, contributors, repositories, sponsors, or former operators. It does not claim to maintain CloudABI, provide compatible binaries, continue its release history, or speak for its technical decisions.

Some exact historical addresses remain available because current technical pages still cite them. The material at those addresses is newly written and clearly labeled. It does not copy the former documentation, branding, diagrams, code, or release claims.

The publication uses primary technical sources where practical. It separates a historical observation from a current recommendation and tells readers to validate every platform assumption against current operating-system and language documentation.
